Gifts for your Groom

Everyone likes to feel loved and special and so why not on your big day surprise your lucky groom with a gift? This may calm those pre-wedding nerves by sending the message of how much you appreciate him and can’t wait to spend the rest of your lives together.

There’s no one particular right gift, so we’ve put together some traditional and quirky ideas to give you inspiration on the perfect gift for you groom.

Out with the new, in with the old

Who said tradition is boring? Although buying your groom a watch isn’t something out of the ordinary it is something that he can wear and cherish over the years to come. Having your wedding date engraved on the back can also be a nice touch to mark the special occasion – and undoubtedly remind him of those anniversaries (although we would hope we wouldn’t need to!)

I know you like the back of my hand

Getting the groom a gift linked to what his interests are is sure to be a winning present. Whether it’s a ticket to see a particular band he likes, a meal at his favourite restaurant or a stadium tour at his supporting football club. It may be the obvious choice, however, it doesn’t make it any less special or exciting.

Box of Treasure

Every couple has different things that mean something special to them, whether it’s a particular song, a cinema ticket from a movie you watched or even a stick of confectionary rock to remind you of a memorable day you may have had at the seaside! Whatever those items are, stick them in a box. A parcel of treasured items together to remind him of those memories - making him smile and think of you.

Wearing your heart on your sleeve

The big day has arrived and everything is ready and in place for the celebration to begin, although little things can be forgotten about - cufflinks may be one of them! Why not put your own mark on a pair of cufflinks with an engraved personalised message so that he can not only wear them on your day but keep them as a reminder of your wedding.

I’ve loved you for a thousand years

We’ve all seen the romantic rom-coms where the guy sends the girl a heartfelt love letter expressing how much she means to him, but that doesn’t mean the guy doesn’t want to be on the receiving end! If you feel a gift is unnecessary or perhaps you’re working to a tight budget why not write the groom a romantic letter to make him feel super loved! A cheeky touch may be to leave a lipstick kiss on the letter - It’s sure to also build up more anticipation for him to see you later that day!

Music sounds better with you

Why not get crafty and put together a cd with all your special songs, if you’re really feeling creative why not write down a memory for each song to give it more of a personal touch.

For your eyes only

If you really want to turn the heat up prior to your honeymoon getaway, sending your groom photos of a boudoir shoot you’ve done will be sure to get him running to the alter and remind him just how lucky he is!
