SS Great Britain
Former passenger steamship and now a floating museum! SS Great Britain was the world’s first ocean liner, a design bought to life by the famous Brunel. History aside, the ship is beautiful and well worth a visit for photo or two. Why not team up with some pirate fancy dress!
Over 400 acres of public green space. Worth noting on your maps, especially in the summer if you’re looking for a place to soak up the sun, have a picnic or just a relaxing stroll with the girls in the park
Bristol’s hands on science centre. You may be thinking ‘fun family day out’ but it can definitely be worth a trip with your fellow hens - the UK’s first 3D planetarium and 300 hands on exhibits. Who said education and a weekend away can’t go hand in hand?
We all love a day out at the zoo and Bristol zoo is no exception. From the big beasts of gorillas and lions to the cutest animals in all the land - red pandas and of course meerkats! You’ll be ‘ooing’ and ‘awing’ for the whole afternoon!
Bristol is linked strongly with hot air balloons and even hosts the International Balloon Fiesta every year. So why not get really involved in this tradition with an amazing hot air balloon ride over the city? Flying season is throughout the summer and deliver the most stunning views and would make your hen party weekend pretty unique!
Clifton village, home to the famous suspension bridge also houses several shopping opportunities. Cute boutiques and classy arcades line the traditional streets. You’ll be surrounded by gorgeous Georgian and Regency architecture. You’ll find numerous independent retailers of jewellery and home-ware for that important souvenir!
